Putney Roof Terrace

Via a client recommendation Scoot Studio was commissioned to create a new terrace area for a mid terrace cottage located within the conservation area of Putney, London.

Due to the property’s constrained footprint, the proposal introduced an external dining area specifically tailored to the needs of an avid cook. This outdoor space incorporates a custom-built pizza oven and barbecue, thoughtfully integrated with bespoke planters and seating to facilitate the cultivation of herbs and vegetables.

To enable access to the newly proposed terrace, a planning application was submitted for this sensitive site. A frameless, double-glazed roof portal was custom-designed to deliver natural light into the first-floor living room, thereby enhancing the quality of the internal environment.

In parallel, interior design consultation was provided across the remainder of the property, which was identified as being in considerable need of modernisation.
